Finding the Right Student Accommodation in Sheffield
14 October 2025
It’s coming up to that time of the year where students are starting to thinking about their accommodation for the 26/27 academic year in Sheffield
We’ve compiled some tips to make the process a bit easier for you.
Start searching as early as possible – although October might seem like too early to start looking for a house for next July, the earlier you start looking, the better chance you have of getting the house you want!
Make sure to choose the right people – remember you have to live with your housemates for a whole year. If you’re stuck with people who you don’t get on with, it may make your university experience a diffcult one.
Make a list of what you want in a house- kitchen space, garden, living room space, bedroom sizes etc
Decide a budget for rent (don't forget to include your bills)– decide amongst your house of how much you are prepared to spend per week, for rent and bills combined You can then refine your search depending on this budget.
Ask the current tenants and landlord questions – put together a list of questions to ask to get the best feel of the house. Questions about parking, about the area, what other tenants like about the house, location, amenities etc
If you have any questions then please feel free to contact us, we are always happy to help make the process as stress free as possible for you and we have a depth of knowledge about Student Accommodation in Sheffield.
